    Privacy Policy Effective June 2009

    California Privacy Rights

As a member or individual customer of IVHRA who is a resident of California, you have the right under the California “Shine the Light” law at California Civil Code § 1798.83 to request IVHRA to provide you within 30 days of your request, by regular or electronic mail, with a list of the categories of personal information that were shared by IVHRA with third parties for direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, the names and addresses of those third parties, and if the nature of their business cannot reasonably be determined from their name, examples of the products and services marketed by them. However, under the same California law, in lieu of responding to such request, IVHRA can provide you with the right to opt-out of having your personal information licensed to such third parties, and providing you with notice of your right to opt-out. IVHRA has chosen to provide the opt out right described below, and so does not need to respond further to California member or customer inquiries under the California Shine the Light law.

IVHRA’s privacy policy allows its members and customers to opt-out of receiving marketing communications from IVHRA and from third parties to whom IVHRA might otherwise license the right to use member or customer personal information. We respect your right to privacy and encourage you to contact us (including at the address below) if you desire to opt-out:
